Description
Maxim Gorky Colonnade, or the Main Colonnade, is the icon for the SPA building in Marianske Lazne (Marienbad) region, being the largest construction in Czech Republic. The Colonnade was designed by Vienesse architects Miksch and Niedzilski to the decision of Teplá Monastery Abbot. The buillding was cast in Blansko´s ironworks and then assembled in place of the original spa promenade. The steel structure was built in the neo-baroque style and was untouched by attacks during the Second World War. After it's reconstruction, in 2010, the Colonnade became the national cultural monument of Czech Republic.
