Description
Considered one of the finest gardens in East Anglia since the mid-17th century, the gardens at Somerleyton continue to delight. Set over 12 acres, the garden is slowly being re-imagined as a series of interconnected ‘rooms’. Amazing all day visit to discover hidden corners filled with rich vegetation, fine specimen trees which are being under planted with rifts of bulbs to delight through the seasons.
I found this glass with flowers in the tea room, a lovely light and airy place to sit and enjoy a morning coffee, light lunch or afternoon tea. I could not resist to sketch it, to have inspiration for the still life presented on this site.
