Description
This is an oil painting of violets and daisies in a vase, created using a palette knife and heavy oil strokes. I eschewed traditional representational techniques, instead using bold colors and dynamic textures to convey a sense of movement and energy. The violets and daisies are rendered in broad strokes of paint, with the palette knife creating a rough, textured surface that invites the viewer to explore the painting through touch as well as sight. I used bold and vibrant colors, expressing my today vision and mood, and waiting for a blooming Spring.
